Which Grass is Which? Three-Part Online Workshop
Grass identification doesn’t have to be impossible. By learning tips and tricks that you can use in the field, grass identification is achievable! Come learn the basics of grass identification and how to identify over 50 common grasses in Illinois during this interactive three-part workshop.
The course will cover:
· Basics of grass identification and identification of common woodland grasses on Tuesday, July 28 from 1-3pm
· Identification of common prairie grasses on Wednesday, July 29 from 1-3pm
· Identification of common nuisance grasses on Thursday, July 30 from 1-3pm
The workshop will be held on Zoom and include interactive components. The workshop will be recorded and available on YouTube for those unable to attend live, although live attendance is encouraged to best benefit from the interactive components. This workshop is free and recommended for those working in the natural resource field and Master Naturalist volunteers.
This workshop covers: identification of prairie, woodland, and weedy grasses. This workshop does not cover: identification of lawn grasses; planting, care, or management of grasses. Check out the Grasses at a Glance blog for additional grass content.
