Wee Naturalists (Wee Nats) 2024-2025 - Freeport

Learn about nature at Wee Nats (Wee Naturalists), a fun interactive program for youth ages 4-7. Youth will learn about different environmental education topics through a story, activity, craft, and hike. University of Illinois Extension 4-H Youth Educator Kelly Lafferty will offer the program on the first Saturday of the month (except in November) at the U of I Extension located in Building R at Highland Community College (use parking lot B), 2998 W. Pearl Road, Freeport. Each program will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 am. An adult must stay with the youth during the program. Cost: $5 per session.

September 7 -Super Soil
October 5–Owls
November 9-Fallen Log
December 7 –Turtles
January 4-Sensational Snow
February 1-Groundhogs,
March 1–Trees
April 5–Birds
May 3–Wetlands
