Victory Gardens | Kankakee
The registration period has ended.
Victory Gardens were a staple during WW1 and WW2 as a means of growing fresh food and boosting overall morale. A garden can still help you do both those things today! Planting a garden helps supplement fresh foods during the summer months, decreasing your overall grocery bill, and leaving you feeling better in the end.
Join us as we learn to plant a victory garden and come away with the skills (and seeds!) needed to plan your own garden!
WHEN: March 29 @ 10am
WHERE: Kankakee County Extension Office | 1650 Commerce Drive, Bourbonnais, IL 60914
Illinois Extension provides equal opportunities in programs and employment. If you need reasonable accommodations to participate in a program, please contact froning@illinois.edu. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for meeting your access needs.
