This registration has been archived.
The McLean County 4-H team is hosting a unit-wide livestock Skillathon workshop series. A livestock skillathon is a hands-on, competitive educational program for youth that tests and develops knowledge and practical skills in animal science and livestock management. These workshops are designed to help youth build the knowledge and skills needed for the Illinois State Livestock Skillathon (held on November 8 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Stock Pavilion), and the Superior Young Producers Skillathon (held annually at the Illinois State Fair).
Location: McLean County Office
Time: 6–7:30 p.m.
Each evening features two rotating stations, so participants will experience both.
- Sept. 23: Breed ID & Wool Judging
- Oct. 7: Meat Retail Cut ID & Equipment ID
- Oct. 21: Feed ID/Calculations & Quality Assurance
