Tree ID Walk at Crystal Lake Park

Tree Walk at Crystal Lake Park, Tuesday, October 8th, 4-5:30pm.

Trees are a vital element in climate change mitigation. Join Extension Educator Ryan Pankau during this guided walk. Learn to identify different species of trees, how they perform in both a forest setting and the urban environment, and which trees will fare well in the face of climate change.

Meet at Crystal Lake Park's (206 W. Park Urbana, IL 61801) Boathouse Dock Area.

This event was planned in conjunction with the Champaign County Climate Coalition and Urbana Park District as part of Climate Action Week.  The week is packed with programs, workshops, hikes, social opportunities and celebrations throughout Champaign County.  For more information about additional events, please click here.

Registration is limited to ensure we have an appropriate group size for field activities.

If you have questions or need accommodation, please contact Ryan Pankau at rcpankau@illinois.edu or call 217-333-7672.
