Summertime Salads Made Simple

Celebrate the flavors of the season with fresh, vibrant summertime salads. In this interactive program, learn how to build balanced, satisfying salads using seasonal vegetables, fruits, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.

Join LaSalle County Home and Community Education (HCE) and Susan Glassman, Health and Community Wellness Educator with University of Illinois Extension, for a demonstration of creative, Mediterranean-inspired salad combinations. Participants will gain practical tips for preparing quick meals, boosting flavor with fresh ingredients, and turning salads into complete, nourishing meals.

Enjoy fresh samples and leave with recipes, new ideas, and simple strategies for healthy summer meals.
