Summer Jam and Jelly Canning Workshop | Montgomery County

Love making jam and want to enjoy fresh summer berries all year? Join Extension for a fun Wednesday afternoon learning how to safely make and preserve jams and jellies using the boiling water bath method and steam canning. We’ll walk through each step of the process, share tips for getting the perfect set, and cover safe ingredient swaps. You’ll get hands-on experience making strawberry-kiwi, blueberry spice, and blackberry jam and take a jar or two home. An adult must accompany any youth under the age of 16.

Where: Montgomery County Extension Office - 1 Industrial Park Drive, Hillsboro, IL 
When: Wednesday, July 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 8pm
Cost: A $10 fee covers all supplies.
