Spring Centerpieces - Fresh-cut flowers are a great way to decorate your home or celebrate special occasions. Have you ever wanted to try floral design using fresh-cut flowers? This is your opportunity! Participants will learn the basics of designing with cut flowers and will then make a fresh spring-themed flower arrangement to take home with them.
Low Maintenance Landscaping - Whether you find yourself wanting to garden but don’t have a lot of time or have a brown thumb, want to add low maintenance plant options to your landscape, or are realizing that you can’t do it all like you used too, then this program is for you!
Trees in Your Landscape: Functions and Benefits - Are you looking to plant more trees on your property or maybe even replace trees that have died over the years? If so, then this is the program for you! Jay will talk about native trees to the area and what to think about as far as placement when planting those trees. He will also touch on things like using trees for shade, windbreaks, helping with energy efficiency, and using them to help protect your home.
Terrific Tomatoes - Join us for a practical, grower‑friendly program focused on helping you succeed with tomatoes—from choosing the right varieties to managing pests, diseases, and environmental challenges throughout the season. Whether you're new to tomato growing or looking to improve your harvest, this session will give you the essential tools to grow healthier plants and produce high‑quality fruit.
Mixed Container Gardens -Jo Daviess County Master Gardeners, Laurie Gothard-Zueger and Linda Helgeson will share tips and tricks and help participants put together a stunning container garden of flowering annuals, herbs, or a mixture of both that with proper care will look beautiful all summer long!
