Southwestern Illinois Agronomy Field Day
The University of Illinois Extension is proud to host the Southwestern Illinois Agronomy Field Day on Thursday, August 6, 2026, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Baebler Educational Farm, located at 4022 JJ Rd., Waterloo, IL 62298.
This educational program will feature the latest research and management strategies for crop production, including:

- Nutrient Management in Row Crops
- Weed Management Programs in Corn
- Strategies for Managing Invasive Weeds on Your Farm
- No-Till and Cover Crop Management
Participants will also have the opportunity to tour Corn Nitrogen and Herbicide Trials and view demonstrations of tools and techniques used to control invasive plant species.
The program will conclude with a complimentary meal at approximately 6:30 p.m. at Acorns Golf Links, located just down the road from the farm.
This event is free and open to farmers, crop advisors, agricultural professionals, and anyone interested in learning more about crop production.
Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) credits will be available.
