Many small-business owners' comfort level with questions dealing with the Internal Revenue Service and federal taxation is low. This program is intended to help owners and entrepreneurs become more familiar with the resources and support from the Internal Revenue Service to help them structure their small businesses more efficiently and profitably.

This session is presented by University of Illinois Extension in collaboration with Illinois SBDC at Bradley University and the Internal Revenue Service.

About the speakers:
Michael Mudroncik is a Senior Stakeholder Liaison for the Internal Revenue Service, working out of their Chicago, Illinois field office.  Mike has been with the IRS since 2002 working as a Revenue Agent, SB/SE Exam Division, in Downers Grove, IL and, since 2009, in the role of Stakeholder Liaison.  Mike holds degrees in Business Administration and Accounting from Indiana University, an MBA from DePaul University and is working on completing a Master of Science in Taxation degree, also from DePaul University.

Chris Youngmark is the Assistant Director of the Illinois Small Business Development Center, seated in the Turner Center for Entrepreneurship at Bradley University’s Foster College of Business. Prior to joining in 2022, Chris served the Illinois SBDC as the Rural Outreach Coordinator to support the E-Commerce Initiative for Restaurants and Retailers through the CARES ACT, creating e-commerce solutions and positioning businesses to have an effective online presence. He has advised clients on Covid-19 assistance programs such as PPP, EIDL, and Restaurant Revitalization, among other SBA initiatives. Previously, Chris has also been a Community Navigator, among a network of business advisers providing grant and technical assistance to 6 local counties as the SBDC served as a Hub/Spoke partner with the Greater Peoria Economic Development Corporation (GPEDC) to implement their State of Illinois Back to Business Grant. Chris received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Illinois State University. He has years of experience as a project manager, entrepreneur, and small business owner, and also serves Tazewell County as a search and rescue team member and Deer Creek Fire Department volunteer firefighter and training officer.
