Does your club, church or organization raise funds by holding community dinners, bake sales, bazaars or other food events? If so, you won't want to miss a seminar entitled,Serve It Safely. The seminar is co-sponsored by the University of Illinois Extension, (Clark, Crawford & Edgar counties).

Often, the organizers of food events are unaware of basic food-safety principals. A little knowledge about food safety would help make these food events go smoothly, safely, and successfully. If you don't know these critical food-safety principles, a fun-filled, food-related event can turn into a food-safety disaster.

The seminar will focus on preparing, storing, and serving food for public consumption safely and will include a take-home manual and refreshments. Cost for the seminar is $5 for each organization.

The Serve It Safely seminar will be held, January 7, 2025, 5:30-7:30 PM, at the Clark County Extension Office, 15493 N State Hwy 1, Marshall IL.  Mary Liz Wright, Extension educator, nutrition and wellness will be the instructor. Class size is limited to 35 people.
