Renewable Energy Listening Session

Fulton, Mason, Peoria, and Tazewell Counties Renewable Energy Listening Session

February 5, 2026, 9:00am to 10:30am

Thank you for your interest in participating in one of our listening sessions! Please see details below and complete the required information to register.

The session is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, and we anticipate using the whole time to allow for plenty of discussion.

What to prepare: Nothing but a willingness to provide your opinions, insights, or experiences regarding renewable energy! Even if you are new to the energy space but feel curious about engaging with it further, we want you to join us and add your valuable insights to the discussion.

What to expect: A guided discussion on what you think is relevant and timely to be included in future Illinois Extension programming, which will aim to educate local leaders and members of the public about renewable energy so that they are more comfortable engaging on this topic.

If you will need an accommodation in order to participate, please email Andrea Wagner at aewagner@illinois.edu. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time to meet your access needs.

I understand that by checking the box on the event registration page that I am authorizing University of Illinois Extension staff to audio and video record me during a Zoom virtual listening session on renewable energy, the purpose of which is to assist in new program development and the development of new educational resources. I understand that staff will keep the recording and accompanying transcript confidential and will not include my name in the transcript itself or in reports resulting from the listening session. I further understand that University of Illinois Extension staff may: ● Use audio recordings and the accompanying transcript of this session, of which I am a participant, to identify themes and needs from participants in order to design new resources and create new programming. ● Write and publish a report on their program development and evaluation, which may include references to this recorded session, including anonymized quotes. Any quotes would have context removed, and all identifiers, in order to make them anonymous. I understand that I will not have an opportunity to inspect and approve the recording prior to its use but that the recording and accompanying transcript will only be accessed by pertinent University of Illinois Extension staff for the purposes stated above.
