Pumpkin Arrangement Workshop

Learn the basics of floral design as a Master Gardener guides you through creating a beautiful pumpkin floral arrangement, just in time for Halloween! Plus, this BYOF (Bring Your Own Flowers) workshop allows you to choose your favorite blooms to match your own style and holiday décor.

Who: Adults and families interested in gardening or floral design
When: 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23
Where: DuPage County Extension office, 1100 E. Warrenville Road, Suite 170, Naperville, IL 60563
Cost: $3 per person. Registration is required for each person. Space may be limited.

Note: This is a BYOF - bring your own flowers - Workshop (see details below)

Instruction, as well as floral foam and greenery will be provided.
Participants will choose and bring their favorite cut flowers with them, and a pumpkin.

Here are a few tips to prepare:

Bring 2 or 3 bunches of cut flowers, which can be purchased from the supermarket or florist and/or collected from your garden.
Recommended flowers include: mums, grasses, dried materials, any fall-colored blooms.
Bring a pumpkin, approximately 7- to 8-inches in diameter (roughly the size of a pie pumpkin).
Pumpkin should be hollowed out before arriving. Please save the lid, which was cut out and bring it to class, as it may be used in the design (see photo)
Place a small plastic liner inside of the pumpkin to contain foam and water (examples may include butter, sour cream, or yogurt containers)
