Paddle & Learn 2025

The registration has reached capacity of 15.

Thank you for your interest in Paddle & Learn.  At this time, we have reached our max participants.  If you have questions about the program, please contact Peggy Anesi a psdoty@illinois.edu.

Paddle & Learn is a FREE in-person workshop for teachers and offers 26.5 Professional Development Hours (PDH).

In this workshop, teachers will learn about local watersheds and how to implement their experience into their classrooms. We will address local watershed issues, hear from specialists, and do hands on activities. Teachers will be able to align standards to their knowledge gained. Teachers will get kayak certified by Rocktown Adventures at the beginning of the week and the final day we do an all-group paddle on the Rock River to visually apply their new knowledge from the workshop. No previous paddle experience required.

Paddle & Learn will be held July 14 - July 18, 2025.
