Our Connections to the Prairie

What is a prairie? Join the Illinois Grand Prairie Master Naturalists and local science educator, Scott Saffer, on Saturday, July 25th from 9 - 11 am at Fugate Woods in rural Fairbury, IL to learn about what defines a prairie, the history of how prairies came to be, their biological importance, and the differences between native prairies and reconstructions.

The presentation will include a short hike to identify plants!

Each participant must submit a separate registration.

There is no restroom available at this site. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring sun protection, bug spray, and water.
