Martha Stewart said it best, “If you want a year of happiness, get married, if you want 10 years of happiness, get a dog, if you want a lifetime of happiness, take care of a garden." There are a lot of things that can provide happiness in this life, gardening is one of them and is available for anyone to try.
We're excited to host a gardening program at the Jackson County Extension office.
You could have one acre or a porch with a container garden but there is something about nurturing a plant to the point it is fruitful and can feed you that is so satisfying.  Growing organically can help provide peace of mind about what you are eating and with a little guidance anyone can be enjoying chemical free produce while building healthy soils.
We will discuss:
  • Benefits of Organic Gardening
  • Pest Protection
  • Disease Strategies
  • Weed Control
  • Companion Planting
  • Soil Health and more!
