As part of Illinois Extension's Summer Technical Assistance Field Day Series, in partnership with the Farm Service Agency (FSA) and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), we are hosting a field day focused on Organic Certification.

Extension educators, along with Urban Farm Director Ezra Lee and Organic Crop Inspector Tracy Noel, will discuss organic farming practices at Growing Home. We're thrilled to welcome Joseph Bridges and Alicia Lozano, the USDA NRCS Soil Conservationists for Cook County who will be on site to meet farmers and answer your questions about applying for reimbursement programs. Reimbursable conservation practices that are available to small scale urban growers and the Organic Certification Cost Share program will also be discussed.
