New Tools for Your Nutrient Loss Toolkit
Everyday Environment Webinar Series
Thursday, September 14 at 1pm CTThe Illinois Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy is a multi-agency task force that works to keep our waterways, and everything downstream, healthy. The strategy’s Science Team recommends agricultural conservation practices that keep the nutrients phosphorus and nitrogen in the field where they work best. Three new practices have been added recently: water and sediment control basins, saturated buffers, and terraces. Explore how farmers and landowners can apply these and other practices to help their bottom line and the environment.
This webinar will be presented by Rachel Curry, Illinois Extension Agriculture and Agribusiness educator, and Nicole Haverback, Watershed Outreach Associate.
