Welcome to Illinois Extension! As a new team member, you're invited to attend New Staff Orientation on the beautiful University of Illinois campus in Champaign-Urbana. This engaging event will introduce you to Extension’s mission, values, and statewide impact, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Throughout the orientation, you’ll explore your strengths, connect with colleagues, and learn how your role contributes to advancing Extension’s vision. Sessions include an overview of business operations, grant writing, customer service, our strategic plan, and civil rights compliance practices. You’ll also meet the Assistant Directors for Regions and gain insights into Inclusive Illinois Extension. Join us as we lay the foundation for your success in Extension!

You are invited to stay for Campus Connections on August 26 at 4PM. This will be a casual time to connect with program leaders and campus-based staff, network with fellow Extension colleagues from across the state, and enjoy light refreshments in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. This is a great opportunity to build relationships, ask questions, and get to know the broader Extension community that supports your work.

This training is most relevant to employees new to Extension with two - nine months of employment.
