Nature's Paint Box- Thomson

Long before commercial paints were available, artists and communities around the globe turned to nature for their color palettes by crushing minerals, boiling plants, and blending earth and charcoal to create pigments for cave paintings, textiles, pottery, and more. In this workshop, you'll learn to make your own paints from items like berries, leaves, flowers, and soil, reconnecting with this timeless practice and discovering the beauty of creating color straight from the earth.

The university plans to capture photographs and video of this event. Be aware that if you attend, you are consenting to the possibility that your image and likeness may be shared or published by the university for marketing-communications purposes. Please notify staff when checking in or alert the photographer if you don’t want your photograph taken.
