Learn the basics of floral design as a Master Gardener guides you through creating a beautiful floral basket arrangement just in time for spring or Mother’s Day!
Plus, this BYOF-style workshop allows you to choose your favorite flowers and basket to customize the final piece as a special gift or to match your own décor.
Who: Adults interested in floral arranging or learning new skills When: 10-11:30 a.m. Friday, May 10 Where: DuPage County Extension office, 1100 E. Warrenville Road, Suite 170, Naperville, IL 60563 Cost: $15 per person, includes instruction, floral foam, and greenery
What to bring: Participants will choose and bring their favorite cut flowers with them, and a lined basket or container of their choice. A few tips:
It is recommended to bring 2 or 3 bunches of cut flowers, which can be purchased from the supermarket and/or collected from your garden.
Recommended flowers include: daisy mums, mini carnations, alstroemeria, tulips, and daffodils.
The lined basket or container should be approximately 7-inches in diameter, and must be able to hold water.
Floral foam and greenery will be provided.
