Moth-A-Palooza Guided Night Hike

8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Come out on to Rend Lake Project Visitor Center to learn more about moths during National Moth Week with Illinois Extension Forest Management and Ecology Specialist, Kevin Rohling and Horticulture Educator, Kimberly Rohling. There will be an indoor program while we wait for night to blanket the sky. Attendees can bring a camera, headlamp or flashlight, since the hike will be at night. If you would like to assist with citizen science efforts, please download the iNaturalist app before you attend the event.
Please meet at the Rend Lake Project Visitor Center: 11981 Rend City Rd, Benton, IL 62812 at 8:30pm. The event may be canceled or postponed depending on weather conditions. If you register online, you will receive email notification the morning of the program. Online registration will open Monday, June 1, 2026 and close Thursday, July 23, 2026.
