Learn Grow Share Garden Series

Join us for the Learn Grow Share series, a hands-on gardening program for both youth (ages 5-18) and adults. Hosted by Master Gardeners and 4-H Program, this series will cover essential gardening topics while promoting community involvement and food security. Register for any session! 

Sessions take place at 6:00 p.m. at Marshall-Putnam County Extension Office (509 Front Street, Suite 4, Henry, IL 61537) unless otherwise noted. 

Spring & Summer 2025 Sessions:
  • March 11 – Tomato and Pepper Starting
  • March 25 – Cole Crops & Garden Planning
  • April 8 – Flower and Herb Starting
  • April 22 – Vermicomposting & Soil Health
  • May 6 – Water & Fertilizer: Essential Nutrients
  • May 17 (9:00 a.m.) – Planting Day & Establish Water Schedule
  • May 20 – Beneficial Insects and Pests
  • June 3 – Wildlife Mitigation & Safe Produce Handling
  • July 1 – Weekly Harvest Cycle Begins
  • July 29 – Cookout
  • October 11 (9:00 a.m.) – Garden Cleanup & Overwintering
