This webinar will help audiences understand data, find relevant broadband and digital equity data, and incorporate them in grant proposal writing for the upcoming Illinois Digital Equity Capacity (IDEC) Grant. We will also show examples of how data is used to answer different questions in grant writing.

Hear from organizations who have implemented computer technology center projects and community broadband planning projects and learn more about who to effectively plan and implement these projects.  
 
February 14 | 11 AM CT | Project Areas: Digital Navigators
In this webinar, you will learn about setting up a digital navigation program and hear from organizations that host digital navigators, as well as digital navigators themselves about the essential services they provide to help communities achieve digital equity.

May 29: State Grant Basics - how to pre-qualify to be a potential grantee with the State of Illinois and understand the grant process.  
June 5: How to Write a Great Grant Application - how to write strong digital equity grant proposals, including understanding the NOFO and the essential grant components such as program narrative, budget, project plan, impact measurement, and scoring criteria. 
June 12: How to Build a Strong Digital Inclusion Program - how to build strong digital inclusion programs to meet community needs, ensure equitable access to the internet, and provide digital tools to fully participate in today’s society and economy.
July 31: Building Digital Inclusion Coalitions - presented by the National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA), this webinar will include information on models for developing relationships with community partners to address digital inequities, and to support community digital inclusion ecosystem growth. Building on expertise and learnings from the NDIA community, this webinar will provide examples of successful digital inclusion coalition models, and promising practices for continued growth and development. August 7: Equity in Digital Inclusion Project Implementation - This webinar will dive into concepts around equity, diversity, and inclusion in the broadband digital equity context, and offer strategies and recommendations to weave equity into your digital inclusion project implementation.
August 14: Deeper Diver into Grant Writing - presented by Illinois Minority Business Development Agency, this webinar will dive deeper into grant writing and offer guidance on grant application.
August 21: Leveraging Data for Storytelling - how to find data and use data to tell your broadband access and digital equity story, tailor your project to local needs, and incorporate data in sharing your impact stories and future grant applications.
