In this interactive class, you’ll learn about different types of proteins, both animal-based and plant-based, and explore how they support your body’s needs. We’ll dive into the role protein plays in heart health, ways to manage cholesterol through smart food choices, and practical tips for creating balanced meals. Then, roll up your sleeves for a hands-on cooking experience where you’ll prepare delicious recipes featuring a variety of protein sources. Whether you’re looking to boost your nutrition or add new dishes to your menu, this class will give you the tools and confidence to make heart-healthy choices every day. This class is offered at no cost.

When: Feb. 26 from 5:30pm-7pm

Where: The class will take place in Taylorville Memorial Hospital Conference Room 179, the all-purpose room in Taylorville. If you are unsure where to go, check with the front desk attendants when you walk into the main entrance. 

 Park in parking lot 4 - located at the rear of the hospital, next to the meeting room.
