Grow Your Own Bath Sponge: A Horticulture Power Hour
Are you looking for something new or unusual to grow? Did you know you could grow your own bath sponge? The luffa gourd is an easy-to-grow vining plant that produces mature fruit with an interesting purpose — it is a bath sponge. Come join University of Illinois Extension Horticulture Educator, Nancy Kuhajda, for a lively learning session on how to grow your own luffa sponges. Each participant will receive a luffa seedling, luffa seeds, and educational materials on growing and using luffas and other plants for bath use.
