University of Illinois Extension in Lake County invites township clerks, social workers, school personnel, food pantry managers, and other community service providers to join us for “Find Food. Share Support.” 
This hands-on session is designed to strengthen your ability to connect individuals and families with reliable food resources in their communities. Participants will explore the Find Food Illinois app and learn how to use it effectively when assisting clients.

Please bring a personal laptop or tablet
We will be doing guided, hands-on activities using the Find Food Illinois map and tools.
Topics include:
  • Identifying nearby food access points
  • Locating summer meal sites
  • Finding grocery stores and markets
  • Using the Find Food Illinois map to discover free food and meal locations
  • Identifying stores that accept SNAP/LINK or WIC
  • Locating DHS and WIC offices closest to your community
This session equips you with practical tools to help residents access the nutrition and support they need. It’s an opportunity to build confidence, strengthen partnerships, and expand your resource network.
