Find Food IL Map - Illinois Extension Webinar
Wednesday | November 5 | 12PM CT

Presented by:
Caitlin Kownacki, Senior Program Lead of Evaluation, Health and Community Wellness, Illinois Extension
Kaitlyn Streitmatter, Senior Manager, Health and Community Wellness, Illinois Extension
Michael Lotspeich-Yadao, Rural Sociologist and Research Assistant Professor, College of Applied Health Sciences, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

The Find Food IL map helps residents find places in their communities offering free food or meals, stores and markets that accept food assistance, and more, to help families stretch their household food budget. Community and organizational leaders are encouraged to help struggling families put food on the table with an easy-to-use tool. University of Illinois Extension invites statewide organizations and families to join a noon-time webinar on Wednesday, November 5. Participants will be able to raise questions and give input during a discussion session following the presentations.

With public and private food resources displayed in this live food search tool, Find Food IL delivers. Built in collaboration with state partners in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Illinois Extension maintains this tool and its suite of publicly available promotional materials to help Illinois communities get the word out to help residents meet their basic food needs.
