Join the Friends of Shawnee National Forest as we get freezin' for a good reason!  The Friends of the Shawnee National Forest will be hosting a free lunch at Rim Rocks Dogwood Cabins starting at 12:00pm, donations welcome, followed by a Leave No Trace workshop at 1:00pm with guest speaker Linda Hauser of the Shawnee National Forest.  From there the Friends of the Shawnee National Forest, will head over to Pounds Hollow Lake for the Second Annual Polar Plunge, starting at 3:00pm.  All individuals who raise $40 will be awarded a Shawnee National Forest beanie. The group/organization that raises the most will receive 25% of the proceeds.  This is an opportunity to support The Friends of the Shawnee National Forest and Equality Fire Department while we say goodbye to winter in a big way.  If you would like more information about this program contact Friends of the Shawnee by email at friendsoftheshawnee@gmail.com. Please pre-submit Plunge Pledges to https://www.shawneefriends.org and click on the Polar Plunge button, donate any of the suggested amounts or customize your donation by clicking on $0.00 toggle.
