Effingham County Livestock Skill-A-Thon

Get ready to test your livestock knowledge at the Effingham County 4-H Livestock Skill-A-Thon! Join us on November 10 at 4 p.m. at The Equity in Effingham for an evening filled with hands-on learning, fun competition, and opportunities to sharpen your livestock skills. Participants will rotate through stations covering equipment, feed, breeds, and meat identification while competing within their age divisions.

Whether you are new to livestock projects or already have years of experience, the Skill-A-Thon is a great way to build confidence, learn something new, and prepare for future judging contests and shows. Youth will compete in the following age divisions: Junior (8–10 years old), Intermediate (11–13 years old), and Senior (14–18 years old).

Come challenge yourself, meet other livestock enthusiasts, and show off your skills!
