Edwards County 4-H Skillathon
4-H members ages 8-18 in Edwards, Lawrence, Richland, Wabash, and Wayne counties are invited to attend a skillathon competition followed by YQCA training. YQCA training is required annually for all 4-H members planning to show animals during the summer 4-H livestock shows. Preregistration for YQCA training is required to participate in this event. YQCA training costs $3 and must be paid when registering online at yqcaprogram.org. The skillathon will be a fun and friendly competition that will test 4-H members' knowledge of topics such as livestock, food safety, and 4-H general projects. The skillathon is for participants only; spectators are not permitted.
Participants are also requested to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to local food pantries as part of a corresponding community service project. A light lunch will be provided for participants and leaders. The Skillathon is hosted by the Edwards County Senior 4-H Federation members.
