Just like humans, plants contain a microbiome that are essential to their existence. This presentation will go in-depth into a study that shows that the composition of foliar micro-communities is altered with climate change factors, and what this can mean for the plant’s ability to adapt to these changes.
Presenter Bio:
Karla has a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Science and a Master’s degree in Plant Biology. Her main area of study is plant-fungal interactions. She is Illinois Extension’s Educator in Natural Resources, Environment, and Energy.
