Eating the Mediterranean Way

Join us for a two-session hands-on program, Eating the Mediterranean Way, where participants will explore the delicious and healthful principles of the Mediterranean diet. Each session will include preparing a Mediterranean-inspired recipe for the class to sample while learning about the research-backed health benefits of this eating pattern. Participants will discover the core principles of Mediterranean-style eating, simple strategies for incorporating Mediterranean foods into shopping and meal planning, the benefits and uses of olive oil, and how to confidently read and understand a Nutrition Facts label.

Each participant must complete an assumption of risk form to participate in the program. This program is $10 per person.
If questions or if the cost is a barrier to your family being able to participate, contact the Extension Office at 309-663-8306 or email jesmith@illinois.edu
