Dudley Smith Farm Field Day

University of Illinois Dudley Smith Farm Field Day will be held on Thursday, June 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT at the University of Illinois Dudley Smith Farm Research Center located at 2200 E. 600 North Rd. (located off Route 29 between Taylorville and Pana, Illinois).

Field Day topics will include:
  • A combination of management programs to reduce N and P runoff in cropping program
  • Utilizing cover crops in cropping and livestock programs
  • Updating the P and K recommendations for field crops in Illinois
  • History of soil testing results for Illinois
  • New agronomy research field on the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana campus
  • A special highlight about how a young man got started on the family farm and has now engaged his family in a farm to plate operation
Lunch will be provided. This meeting is free and open to the public. Advance registration is required by Monday, June 17.
