Drought-Tolerant Plants
Join the Illinois Extension horticulture staff on Thurs, Aug 27 from 10 AM - noon for Drought-Tolerant Landscape: A Botanical Workshop.
This educational program introduces homeowners to drought-tolerant plants and strategies for creating an attractive, water-efficient home landscape. Participants will learn what makes plants drought-tolerant, a sample of recommended species, and water-smart management practices. Participants will leave equipped with practical knowledge to reduce water use while maintaining a healthy, visually appealing landscape. Participants will then create their own air plant terrarium to take home. The cost is $15 and includes all supplies.
- Class will be held at the University of Illinois Extension office located at 321-2nd Ave West Milan at 10:00-noon on Thursdays.
- Class will include an education session along with a make and take component.
