Don't Go It Alone: Improving Your Social Connections with CRIS Healthy Aging and Illinois Extension

Feeling lonely or isolated? You're not alone. Studies show that more than 20% of adults in the United States experience these feelings. Research increasingly highlights the negative impact of social isolation and loneliness, particularly on the quality of life for older adults.
University of Illinois Extension Family Life, in partnership with CRIS Healthy Aging, is offering a free program in multiple library locations, "Don't Go It Alone: Improving Your Social Connections," to help individuals address these challenges. Attend one of these sessions at any of our library locations to explore what social isolation is and strategies for keeping in touch with others. We will also learn about resources from CRIS Healthy Aging that you could take advantage of.
