Don't Go it Alone: Improving Your Social Connections at Salt & Light

Feeling lonely or isolated? You're not alone. Studies show that more than 20% of adults in the United States experience these feelings. Research increasingly highlights the negative impact of social isolation and loneliness, particularly on the quality of life for older adults.

University of Illinois Extension Family Life, in partnership with CRIS Healthy Aging, is offering a free program at Salt & Light Urbana in their Small Outbuilding outside of the front of the store at 1813 Philo Rd, Urbana, IL 61802 on Tuesday December 2nd from 10 to 11 AM. Explore what social isolation is and strategies for keeping in touch with others. We will also learn about resources from CRIS Healthy Aging that you could take advantage of.

The program is free and open to the public, but registration is required

If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in any of these programs, please contact Emily Harmon, ebaine@illinois.edu. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time to meet your access needs.
