Unwrap the truths about diabetes and learn how to manage it in this four-part series.  

Attend all four sessions and receive a prize! 

Sessions:
Dec 2: Learning the Lingo- Get to know what diabetes is and learn common diabetes terms your healthcare provider might use.
Dec 3: What are Carbohydrates- Carbohydrates raise blood sugar more than protein or fat. Learn to identify what foods have carbohydrates and how to find them on a Nutrition Facts label.
Dec 4: The Diabetes Plate Method- The diabetes plate method is a tool to help you plan healthy meals and manage your blood sugar. Gain knowledge of the steps to put it into practice.
Dec 5: Meal Planning with Diabetes- A variety of meal plans can help you manage your blood sugars. Discover carbohydrate counting, the diabetes plate method and the Mediterranean diet and see which one best fits your needs and preferences.
