Start the exciting journey of creating your dream garden, from the first ideas to the follow-up maintenance after your garden’s first year in bloom. Whether you want to take each class as a standalone adventure or embark on the full series, we’ve got you covered. Let’s grow together!

(March 19) Before the shovel strikes the ground - Get ready to embark on your garden adventure! First up, we’ll dig into garden siting, planning, and mapping. We’ll explore how to prepare and maintain healthy soil, ensuring your garden thrives. Discover the essential roles of trees and shrubs as the backbone of your garden, and ponder the possibilities of adding hardscapes like rocks, statues, or other fixtures to create a stunning landscape.

(April 16) Prep - In this session, we’ll cover everything you need to know to prep your garden site. We’ll plan for weed control, removal of any existing plants, and map out your plantings. Building on our previous session, we’ll pencil in potential plantings, focusing on the colors, sizes, and bloom schedules you desire. We’ll plan for continuous blooms and year-round interest, figuring out when and how your trees and bushes will bloom and what will complement them. Plus, I’ll share some of my favorite color boosters, like bulbs, daylilies, and irises. Let’s make your garden a vibrant masterpiece!

(April 30) Execution - Let’s bring your garden plans to life! We’ll start by scheduling the best times to procure and plant your chosen greenery. We’ll chat about which plants will multiply or can be split and figure out how many you need to achieve your desired look. As you plant, we’ll keep updating your map and plan for pruning to keep everything in tip-top shape. Let’s get planting and watch your garden flourish!

(May 14) Maintaining your new garden - Now that your garden is flourishing, let’s talk maintenance! We’ll cover the essentials of deadheading and plant management to keep everything performing at its best. We’ll also tackle weed control and evaluate your garden’s progress, deciding if and when changes are needed. Remember, it’s perfectly fine to move or remove plants if they’re not thriving in their current spot. Let’s keep your garden looking fabulous!
