Data Training for Local Government
Thank you for your interest in the Data Training for Local Government workshop. Unfortunately, we only have space for 30 participants. If space becomes available, we will make sure to let you know.
This hands-on workshop is designed for leaders in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Participants will learn how to find and use key demographic and labor market data to better understand and describe their communities and local economies. Through practical exercises, attendees will gain the skills and confidence to apply data in everyday decision-making—and will leave with a toolkit of resources to support continued use back at work. This training will help public, private, and non-profit leaders use data to prepare more compelling grant proposals and make more data-driven decisions.
Workshop participants will use public data resources to answer common questions related to population dynamics and trends, workforce characteristics and opportunities, educational resources and attainment, and quality of life and housing considerations, among others.
This workshop is free to attend and sponsored by University of Illinois Extension and the Delta Regional Authority. Lunch will be provided.
