Impact and Responsiveness under the New CRA: How Can Banks Be Impactful and Responsive?

This session will dive into the modernized Community Reinvestment Act specifically on the Impact and Responsiveness of Community Development Loans, Investments, and Services. An overview of the 12 new impact factors will be provided along with practical solutions and strategies to ensure readiness for Illinois-focused organizations in preparation for the new rule. CRA Officers, Community Development Experts, Loan Officers, and others will benefit from attending this session by learning how regulators may view the impact factors during examinations and how their organizations can best prepare for this monumental change.
Speaker: Jason Keller, a Director of Advisory Services at Wolters Kluwer spent over 20 years working for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Jason most recently served as the Community Economic Senior Advisor at the Federal Reserve responsible for overseeing and evaluating economic capacities and sustainable growth opportunities by conducting seminars, workshops, and preparing written materials and providing thought leadership on aspects of the CRA, Community development, and applicable fair lending laws and regulations. Today, he works with financial institutions to understand and mitigate fair lending risk and comply with the Community Reinvestment Act.
