Cloverbud Cooking - Kankakee County - Summer 2023

This summer, youth age 5-8 can participate in a fun and engaging cooking program taught by Teen Teachers and 4-H Youth Development Educator Shannon Range.
Youth will learn how to measure, prepare, and cook a variety of foods that may include snacks, side and main dishes, breads and/or desserts. And... of course, they will be able to eat them! On the last day, they will participate in a culminating event where they will demonstrate their skills and share their creations with guests.
Youth will also be encouraged to enroll in the Cloverbud Sharing Experience for cooking at the Kankakee County Fair (NOT required).
We know life is busy and you may not be able to make all dates and that's ok. We'll do our best to provide you with materials and/or handouts to do the activities at home when you can. Please indicate on the registration which programs you will be at in person.
Location - Kankakee Extension Office, 1650 Commerce Drive, Bourbonnais
Dates & Times - Teen Teachers will be training immediately before/after so please wait in your vehicles/outside until 5:50 PM and pickup promptly at 6:45 PM)

Registration information:
- The cost for this program is $20 for the first youth in the family and $5 for each additional youth in the same family.
- Youth will join our "Cloverbud Cooking SPIN Club" prior to the first meeting. We'll send you another email with instructions.
- Registration deadline is 11:59 PM, 6/12/23.
- Minimum number of participants is 10 - please share!
Adults are required to stay in the general area during the program as it's only 45 minutes long. This could be the conference room, if there's space or the parking lot.
