Chick Adoption

Thank you for your interest in adopting chicks from the 2026 Embryology in the Classroom program!
Chick adoption will be on March 20 and May 15 at the U of I Extension, Tazewell branch office (1505 Valle Vista Blvd, Pekin) from 5-6 pm. While we have a rough estimate of how many chicks will need homes, we cannot guarantee the exact amount you would like will be available depending on hatch rates in each classroom and how many chicks will still need homes. Please note that both hatches will be straight run White Leghorns. You will need to provide your own way to transport your chicks home.
