Certified Food Protection Managers

Businesses serving food in Illinois must have staff trained as Certified Food Protection Managers. This two-day course will cover the federal food code, including topics of safe food handling, proper cooking temperatures, employee hygiene, and facility safety, and prepare students to take a national exam on the second day of class.

Participants must attend both days of class. Certificates must be renewed every five years.

Please bring a valid photo ID to the exam.

There is a $50/person fee associated with this program. The course fee covers the cost of class materials and the exam.
