Certified Food Protection Manager Course September 2026 - Stephenson County

The University of Illinois Extension will offer the Certified Food Protection Manager Course. This two-part course is an accredited American National Standards Institute (ANSI) course that meets the requirements of the Illinois Department of Public Health’s Food Service Sanitation Code.

During this two-day course, participants will learn about the principles and recommendations of the FDA Food Code, focusing on food safety and contamination, employee health and hygiene, safe food-handling practices, cleaning and sanitizing, and HACCP.

The course will take place on Tuesday, September 1, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Friday, September 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Student Conference Center at Highland Community College (Room 210, Building H, Parking lot A), 2998 W. Pearl City Road, Freeport, IL.

Participants should bring a valid photo ID and arrive 15 minutes early each day.
Participants must attend the full two-day training to be eligible to take the exam.

There is a $125.00 program fee to cover this educational course. This fee is for the educational materials, examination, and lunch. Preregistration is required.
