CCMG: Pollinator Pocket Workshop - May 27

Come join us at Prairie Gardens in Champaign to get hands-on planting of a pollinator container to take home. Heather Cupps-Miller will be describing what the Pollinator Pocket program consists of and its importance while individuals are planting. Participants will choose three plants from a list provided of either annuals or herbs to take home.

Materials provided are: a 12" container, potting soil, three plants, and a pollinator pocket sign.
In this presentation, you will learn:
· What is a pollinator & their importance to the environment and food chain
· What type of habitat is necessary to support pollinators
· How to create a “pollinator pocket” habitat in your yard or containers
· What are the best plant selections to create a pollinator habitat
