Location: Extension Auditorium, 801 N Country Fair Dr, Champaign, IL - In-person only, no Zoom option
Speaker: Molly Knoblett
Gardening is a rewarding activity, but it can place strain on the body if proper techniques aren't used. Dr. Molly Knoblett, a physical therapist and Clinic Manager at Athletico Physical Therapy in Champaign, will discuss essential body mechanics to help prevent common gardening injuries, such as back pain, strains, and repetitive stress injuries. By applying the principles provided in this program, gardeners will learn how to minimize the risk of injury, maintain long-term musculoskeletal health, and look forward to gardening for a long time.
If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate, please contact Valerie Nicolini at vln3@illinois.edu
