Can that Jam! Let's Make Blueberry Jam | Christian County

Let's make jam that we can eat all year round! Join Illinois Extension Nutrition and Wellness Educator Lisa Peterson for a youth-centered hands-on workshop on how to make blueberry spice jam using pectin and safely preserving it through water bath canning. This class is great for kids new to canning or just looking for a refresher!

This workshop will take place Friday, May 31, at 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Extension office in Taylorville. Pre-registration is required.

Each participant will take home a jar of homemade blueberry spice jam and receive other recipes.

Cost: $5 (fee waivers are available)
Age range: 4th-12th grade
(This workshop is for youth only)

This class is limited in size, so register by May 29!
