Boone 4-H Dog Training 2024

The registration period has ended.
Boone County 4-H will again be offering dog training classes for 4-H participants ages 8-18 as of September 1, 2023. The program consists of 9-weeks of training starting on April 16 that will be held at the Boone County Fairgrounds each Tuesday evening. To help keep our 4-H dog obedience program going, a $10.00 fee per discipline (showmanship or obedience) that covers the entire 10-week course will be charged. (Example, $20.00 will be charged if participating in both the obedience and showmanship trainings.) Fees will be collected prior to the first practice. There will be NO REFUNDS of registration fees after classes have started.

To kick off the 2024 training season, an orientation meeting will be held to cover the equipment needed, allow you to meet instructors and learn the expectations of the program. New 4-H dog trainers as well as seasoned trainers are requested to attend.
