Backyard Pumpkin Patch

The registration has not been approved.
Join Illinois Extension for a free workshop all about creating your own Backyard Pumpkin Patch. Pumpkins may be a fall favorite, but successful harvests start long before autumn arrives. This spring is the perfect time to learn how to grow big, beautiful pumpkins later this year.

Master Gardener Monique Liguori-Weinberg brings years of personal experience growing pumpkins in her home garden. She’ll guide participants through the steps to ensure a healthy patch, including choosing the right spot, selecting the best varieties, buying quality seeds, and caring for plants throughout the season.

Whether you’re dreaming of carving pumpkins, baking pies, or simply enjoying a vibrant fall garden, you’ll leave this workshop ready to grow a productive pumpkin patch of your own.

5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22
